Brook Blevins, Author Brooks Blevins is the Noel Boyd Professor of Ozarks Studies at Missouri State University. Raised on a farm in the Arkansas Ozarks, Blevins is the author or editor of seven books, including the award winning Ghost of the Ozarks and Arkansas/Arkansaw: How Bear Hunters, Hillbillies, and Good Ol’ Boys Defined a State. In addition, he edits two book series on the Ozarks for the University of Arkansas Press and contributes to the popular radio program Ozark Highlands Radio.
