Dr. Suess and Sam-I-am

Met up one day for lunch

They feasted on green eggs and ham

And apple cider punch

 

Horton joined them for dessert

(He’d heard another Who!)

And who else but McGurkus Squirt

Joined the party, too!

 

Their conversations drifted

To the places they would go

And then the topics shifted,

To people they would know

 

In short, it was a lovely day

For folks of just their sortin’

And leaving, they were heard to say

“Be careful now!” to Horton.
