Brain Teasers #7

1.  A young tot answered the phone and asked who was calling.  “I married your mother, but I am not your father – or your stepfather!”  the man replied.  Who was calling?

2.  Using only pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters (but at least ONE of each), make change for $1.00, using exactly fifty coins.

3.  A digital clock forms palindromic numbers* 114 times a day.  What is the least time between two consecutive palindromic clock numbers?  What is the most?

* Numbers that read the same forward and backward, like 8:28

  1. Question #1–the speaker is the priest or minister who performed the mother’s wedding.
Question #2–one quarter, two dimes, two nickels, and 45 pennies = $1.00 with fifty coins.
Question #3–I might get to that one later when I have more time.
Larry, thanks for the fun that comes with your brain teasers.

    #2 1 quarter, 2 dimes, 2 nickels, and 45 pennies
