Guest Voice – May 18, 2015

This week’s Guest Voice belongs to Kate Elliott, from Seattle, WA.  You can (and should!) read more about her when you click below.  She was a fellow participant in a recent Writer’s Workshop in Chicago, but I didn’t get to ‘meet’ her until afterward – by e-mail!

Kate has taken up long distance walking just recently, and it has affected her greatly.  This story occurred in the Camino Trail in Spain.  I think you’ll like it as much as I did.  See Camino Memories.

In case you missed it (or want to read it again before Part II!), here is last week’s Part I, as well as the information on Terry Goodman, our Guest Voice contributer:  Student Stories, Part I.

Thanks again, Terry, for sharing with us!!  It was great fun!

Guest Voice – May 4, 2015

Terry Goodman now lives in Round Rock (near Austin), Texas, but he taught mathematics education here in Missouri (University of Central Missouri) for over 35 years.  He is a close friend and a great colleague, and we miss him.  You’ll learn more about him when you click below.

Among other things, Terry was known in Missouri for his hilarious student stories.  He seemed to be able to remember them (and tell them!) better and with more humor than the rest of us.  I asked him to share some of these for our next Guest Voice.  His response was SO marvelous that I’ve split it into two parts. (Part II will appear next week.)

Unless you hate to laugh, do not bypass these stories!!  To read Part I, visit  Five Decades of Student Stories.

Guest Voice – New Feature! 3/30/15

I think you’ll enjoy this first installment of our GUEST VOICE feature!  Our first guest is Jerry Johnson, from Lake Samish, WA.  You can learn more about him when you click below.

Had you ever heard of Eskimo Ice Cream?  Me neither, but it’s central to Jerry’s delightful story.  It’s not long, so MAKE SURE YOU SEE IT!!  To learn more of Jerry, and to read Cookbook Olio, click on the link.  Enjoy!!
