Missouri River Magic – February 2021

Four afternoons or evenings of February fun, adventure, and learning, as we follow the Missouri River from start to finish !  Our journey begins with  a Joint First Session on Sunday afternoon, Jan 31, at 3:30 – 4 pm (Central time).

After that, there will be two choices for you in February:  Continue on Sunday afternoons (3:30) on Feb 14, 21, and 28.  OR switch to Tuesday evenings, 6:00 – 6:30 pm (Central) on Feb 9, 16, and 23. 

QUICK OVERVIEW

Hell Roaring Creek, in southern Montana near the Idaho border, is the utmost source of the Missouri River. The creek begins at Brower's Spring on the Continental Divide and flows 3768 miles

Session 1:  Overview, Logistics and other details.  Begin the journey in Montana.

Session 2:  Continue through Montana, move into the Dakotas.

Session 3:  Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas

Session 4:  Home to Missouri!!

Possible Highlights, Session 4:  *St. Joseph, architecture and history  *Kansas City (one city, two states) * The River turns eastward  * Boonville, Lexington (cannonball in courthouse!) & Arrow Rock  * Jefferson City! * Herman (wine capital of Missouri) * Washington (corn cob pipe capital of the world)  * The Mighty Confluence of Missouri and Mississippi!  *More?
