The whole idea of a Guest Voice is somewhat hard to describe – and partly, I’d like to keep it that way. 🙂 I don’t want to limit your creativity! I’m not (necessarily) looking for an ‘opinion piece’ (although that can be fine). I’m more interested in anything that shares or comes from you, through your voice: Perhaps a story/anecdote from your experience that was either funny or enlightening or inspiring (or some combination!). Perhaps a general informational piece about your ‘discipline’, maybe. Perhaps a classic story from your region of the country. Perhaps a sharing about one of your unique hobbies. Perhaps taking off from one of my educational columns, and agreeing/disagreeing, or taking it a different place. Even perhaps a poem or some other creative piece like a very short story. Or something else not listed! Let the ideas above stimulate your thinking, not limit it.
Length is flexible. A practical upper limit is likely 400-800 words, but MUCH shorter (or maybe even longer?) is certainly OK.
